When it comes to anti-cellulite massage, the first thing that comes to mind is LPG. Painless, fast, effective — the most common definitions applicable to this body contouring technique. However, not everyone knows that LPG can also be used on the face, when, for example, you need to get rid of a double chin or puffiness. What is the peculiarity of this technique, how does the procedure work and what myths exist around it?

LPG body massage

To perform an LPG body massage, you need a special suit, which can usually be bought in the salon where the procedure is performed. The nozzle, which is used to treat problem areas, has rollers and a vacuum. Due to this double effect, it is possible to better influence the problem area and, accordingly, achieve greater results. The movement of the nozzle passes along the massage lines without feeling any discomfort.

In addition to cellulite and excess fat deposits, indications for such a massage — These are loose skin, decreased muscle turgor, tightness in the muscles, swelling. Before the procedure, you should refrain from eating large meals, and afterward it is recommended to drink a lot of clean water to help the body cleanse itself and remove waste products.

LPG facial massage: effect and features of the procedure

LPG facial massage is also performed using a vacuum and rollers that knead subcutaneous fat and tone the skin, but with a different attachment. Lifting, smoothing wrinkles, narrowing pores, reducing dark circles, bags under the eyes and the volume of fat deposits in the double chin area, modeling the oval of the face — these effects can be achieved with LPG facial massage.

Lifehack — If swelling persists after the flight, and you need to get in shape as quickly as possible, you should sign up for an LPG massage. The swelling will go away immediately, and along with it the complexion will improve.

LPG massage: pros and cons

LPG massage solves not only such a common problem as cellulite, but also helps improve the quality of the skin of the face and body, stimulate lymph flow and get rid of swelling, lose weight, reduce volume and the percentage of fat in the body. Women are attracted to the technology because it helps them quickly get in shape after childbirth.

LPG can also speed up rehabilitation after plastic surgery: mammoplasty, liposuction, abdominoplasty, and circular facelift. Among other advantages of the procedure — the ability to normalize metabolism, strengthen the immune system, improve sleep and nervous system function. Another advantage of the technology is its non-aggressive effect, the complete lack of rehabilitation, so the course can be carried out for older people, and the absence of seasonality.

LPG facial and body massage have been used all over the world for more than 30 years, and on the Russian market — more than 20 years. And during this time, the technology has become so popular that any hardware massage tends to call itself LPG, but this is far from the case.

The disadvantage of “fakes” is that at best you shouldn’t expect any effect from them, at worst — the patient's health will suffer. Therefore, it is very important that the procedure is carried out on original equipment that has received FDA approval — the world's leading organization, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). There are three such devices on the Russian market.

To avoid unpleasant consequences, do not be lazy before the session to check what equipment the clinic or beauty salon uses. In addition to the name of the device model, it must indicate the logo and French production.

LPG massage: reviews, photos before and after

Svetlana:“I didn’t expect a miracle from the massage, as there are conflicting reviews on the Internet. But from my own example, I can say that if you have a tendency to edema, you will definitely like LPG. There is an effect, and it is noticeable immediately after the session. Of course, in the future, swelling will return again, since massage is not a magic pill for it, but it can still improve the condition of the skin.” Maria:“I did LPG as an addition to the anti-cellulite program. I started with nutrition, then added sports activities, and then added massage. I don’t know whether LPG influenced the skin to become better, or the overall set of measures taken, but I liked the result. By the way, I also liked the fact that after the massage there was no feeling of drowsiness. I would call it more tonic than relaxing.”

LPG massage: myths and reality

Myth one: “LPG massage is very painful and bruises often appear after it. But that’s how it should be — this indicates that the procedure will give the desired effect.”

This is one of the most dangerous misconceptions. Pain for the body is a protective response and a signal that something is wrong. In response to pain, the body begins to release stress hormones and vasoconstriction occurs, which reduces the activity of tissue metabolism and the result of the procedure. Strong impact leads to rupture of small vessels, which causes bruising, bruising and swelling of the tissue. At best there will be no effect, at worst — swelling will appear and cellulite will intensify.

Myth two: “LPG massage can be done on any device, as long as it has a vacuum and rollers.”

Most of the fakes on the market create a fold of the same type and simply roll it over the treated areas. And real LPG — this is a multidimensional, mechanical effect on tissue. During the procedure, various operating parameters and fold shapes are used, which ensures the effect.

Myth three: “LPG — This is a vacuum massage.”

It is not true. To carry out the procedure, vacuum is only an auxiliary means for capturing the fold of the correct shape and holding it in the procedure chamber. All parameters are clearly verified and have nothing to do with vacuum or cupping massage. In addition, in the latest generation of original equipment, it is possible to hold the fold without using a vacuum, leaving only a mechanical effect on the tissue, and thereby make the procedure completely delicate.

How often can you do an LPG massage?

Cosmetology has a solution for each specific patient. Therefore, before starting the course, a specialist will find out everything about your health status by conducting diagnostics. He also listens to your wishes, what effect you want to achieve and which areas to focus on correcting. So, the goals may be cellulite, loose skin on the inner thighs, sagging buttocks, excess folds on the stomach, dull complexion. The specialist draws up an individual program and frequency of visits.

The duration of the course may vary depending on what model of LPG equipment is used to perform the procedure. The fastest effect is achieved using the Cellu M6 Alliance device. The optimal option for conducting the course — 2 times per week. Average number of procedures in 1 course — about 10. After it, you can switch to the mode of supporting procedures — 1-2 times a month. After 6-8 months, it is recommended to repeat the course.

If the procedure is carried out for a supportive and health-improving purpose and there is no desire to increase the rate of weight loss and get rid of extra centimeters in the waist, then the procedure can be performed once every 1-2 weeks throughout the year and beyond. LPG massage is effective in itself, but at the same time it can be combined with other methods of correction of the face and body: for example, with microcurrent therapy, RF, cryolipolysis, injection and laser procedures.
