Azelaine peeling

Azelaine peeling

Azelaine peeling is recommended for people with oily or problematic skin. Azelain exfoliation is an effective procedure in the fight against acne, as well as excessive skin pigmentation.

Dry facial cleansing with azelaic acid is usually carried out with the addition of other acids to the peeling composition: citric, lactic, salicylic, along with extracts of medicinal plants and herbs.

What is azelaic acid

Azelaic acid today is the most gentle and at the same time very effective in the fight against various skin inflammations, acne, and age spots. Due to its unique properties, azelaic acid is included in many cosmetic products with a healing effect. It is found in cereal plants: wheat and barley, and is also synthesized in small quantities in the human body during lipid metabolism.

Azelaic acid is produced industrially by the oxidation of linoleic and oleic acids. In cosmetology, derivatives of azelaic acid are used, which are soluble in water, chemically stable and have increased whitening properties.

Peeling with azelaic acid

Unlike peelings, which are carried out with fruit acids, azelaic exfoliation There is practically no exfoliating effect – the top layer of dead cells is not scraped off, but comes off as an even thin film that has collected excess fat and impurities. This makes the procedure more gentle, so it is suitable even for sensitive skin.

Azelaic acid has a number of other equally beneficial properties.

  • It has an anti-inflammatory effect, destroying bacteria on the surface of the skin, as well as from the hair follicles.
  • Effective in the fight against bacteria that cause acne, as well as cutaneous staphylococcus. Thanks to regular azelaine peeling procedures, you can significantly reduce the number of microorganisms that lead to inflammatory processes.
  • It is a natural antioxidant. It reduces sebum production by inhibiting the activity of the sebaceous glands.
  • It has a whitening property, suppressing the growth of cells that produce melatonin and leading to increased pigmentation.
  • Restores the process of normal cell division in various layers of the epidermis and, as a result, normalizes the regenerative function of the skin – the death of dead cells and the appearance of new ones.< /li>

Basic recommendations for the use of azelaine peeling

In order for the procedure to bring the best results, you need to follow a number of recommendations.

1. Start preparing

A week or at least five days before the azelaic facial peeling procedure, you need to start preparing the skin for it: start using cosmetics that contain from 5 to 10% azelaic acid. It is better to choose products with a milk component that neutralizes the effect of acid. During use, it will be possible to ensure that there is no allergic reaction to azelaic acid and prepare the skin for a larger dose.

2. Do a sensitivity test

To completely eliminate the possibility of irritation, a day before the procedure, you can apply peeling cream to the bend of your elbow and wait for some time.

3. Choose quality

You need to buy all peeling products only in specialized, trusted places. Don't skimp on your health.

During peeling sessions, between procedures, apply a nourishing cream to avoid peeling and irritation of the skin.

Azelaine peeling, being essentially a rather gentle procedure, can still cause complications if the rules of the procedure are not followed. Therefore, it is necessary to properly care for the skin before, during and immediately after the procedure.
